The ‘Original’ ANTISNOR Acupressure Ring Review

The Original ANTISNOR acupressure ring is, personally, one of the most interesting stop snoring products that we’ve reviewed to-date – not necessarily because it always works, but because of the concept.

We love the idea of an acupressure ring to stop snoring – and were pretty determined to find out if it really worked or not. Obviously, it sounds a bit like a scam or a gimmick at first. After all, how could a ring do anything to help prevent snoring?

This was our first question – but we were soon rendered much less skeptical as we began to delve into the facts surrounding the device. What started out sounding like voodoo quickly became science as we researched acupressure and read the evidence surrounding the ring.

But does it really work? Can a tiny ring, worn on the pinky-finger, really stop snoring?

Here’s what we found out.

Product Details

The ring itself comes in three different sizes – small, medium, and large. You can find a sizing chart on the website to help you choose the size that’s best for you, which is pretty cool. This is also a stop-snoring method that will never need to be replaced. As long as you take care of it and don’t lose it, the ANTISNOR ring will pretty much last you forever – which sets it apart a bit from other stop-snoring products.

AntiSnore ring sizes

There’s also a small gap included in the ring so that it can’t get stuck on your finger. Really, the design is impressive, for what it is. It’s a simple concept – but it seems to do the trick.

Type

This product technically falls into the category of ‘Stop Snoring Rings’ – or maybe less-specifically, ‘acupressure therapy’.

Clinical Studies

Clinical trials for this product were conducted back in 2012, and involved both a collection of snorers and their affected partners. After the study, most couples reported an improvement – which is actually pretty impressive! Here is what the conclusion of the study reported.

“The report concludes that “77% of the spouses and 80% of the snorers were satisfied with the anti-snoring ring” and that … “the Antisnor Ring … tested under the supervision of a pulmonologist doctor by 30 couples, was highly effective in reducing snoring and in turn improving the sleep quality of the snorer and his or her spouse”.

You can learn more about the clinical trials conducted on this device here: http://antisnor.com.au/clinical-trials/.

Is This Product FDA Cleared?

Yes. The ANTISNOR Ring is TGA Reg Class 1, UMDNS Reg Class 1, and FDA evaluated and cleared for sale over the counter in the USA.

Price

You can buy the ANTISNOR Ring for only $39.95, which is certainly a good deal in our opinion.

Plus, it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. If for some reason it doesn’t end up working for you, you can simply return it for a full refund within the first 30 days – so really, it’s a pretty risk-free product.

The ring seems to be produced by a company called ‘ATQOL’. They were founded in 1999, and say that their goal is to… “develop authentic, non-invasive, affordable and effective treatments which are a fusion of cutting edge western science and organic eastern philosophy.”
The head office for this company in Australia is 8/8 Fortitude Crescent, Burleigh Heads Qld 4220. You can also contact them via phone at (+61) 07 5576 1923, or through an email contact form hosted on their website.
I really only found one notable scam complaint about this product – and it seemed to be from someone who… 1) had never used the ring… and 2) who said that it couldn’t be clinically proven because the test wasn’t a blind test using a placebo.

I can understand these types of statements, but they’re not really the type of ‘scam complaint’ that we look for. Some people probably don’t feel like this product would work for them – but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not going to work at all. Granted, our job is to find out what works – but it’s always a bit discouraging to see people dismiss things so easily without really having a reason to.

Needless to say, we didn’t count this as a legitimate scam complaint. This company seems to be very legitimate, and their product seems equally so.

How Does it Work?

The ring is said to use acupressure to stimulate a nerve in the little finger that’s connected to tissue in the throat. This nerve pressure is supposed to help stimulate the muscles and tissue in the throat to help reduce and/or eliminate snoring vibrations that occur in the soft palate.

How Antisnore works

As far as the clinical trials go, it seems to do what it claims. Obviously, it might not work for everyone – but we were convinced enough to label the ANTISNOR Ring a good product to try.

What are actual customers saying?

Customers seem to be saying mostly good things about it – but there are also some that claim that it simply doesn’t work for them. Keep in mind that there are a LOT of knock offs of this ring out there – and not all of them are made the same. This ring is made of high quality materials and seems to be very finely crafted. It also seems to be one of the only products of its type to be clinically tested.

Here’s an example of a customer testimonials that we found on the official product website…

“I have been wearing the Antisnor Ring most nights for over two years and have found it to be very beneficial. It helps with my breathing and my sleep is quite peaceful.

On the odd occasions that I forget to wear it I find that my sleep is disturbed and I am not nearly as refreshed in the morning. It certainly is good value for the money spent.”

And here are some reviews from Amazon…

Does this brand stack up against the competition?

The ANTISNOR Acupressure Ring does stand up to the competition. For one, it’s really the only stop snoring method of its kind to get FDA approval and a real clinical study – so that certainly sets it apart.

Key differences between this product and ‘typical’ solutions

The main difference between this product and other ‘typical’ solutions is the fact that this stop snoring method is non-invasive – unlike many other stop-snoring methods out there. It doesn’t require you to put anything in your mouth or apply anything to your nose – which is quite nice, really.

Is a prescription or doctor involvement needed?

No. You don’t need a prescription or a doctor’s involvement to buy and/or use this ring.

Pros and cons

Here are the basic pros and cons that we discovered over the course of our research…

Pros

  • It seems well made and well-thought-out
  • It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee
  • It’s been tested in a clinical trial and found to work in 80% of cases
  • It’s pretty affordable, and never needs to be replaced
  • It’s very non-invasive and easy to use

Cons

  • It might not work for everyone
  • Some claim that it’s just a placebo affect – and admittedly, the trials might not have been in-depth enough to rule this out completely (no placebo-vs-product test took place, that we are aware of anyway)
  • There are a lot of knock offs of this product that aren’t quite as good – though this is obviously no fault of this company or their product. It’s just something that we noticed.

Conclusion

In the end, although we rather liked the ANTISNOR Ring. Granted, it has its limitations and issues. It might not work for everyone, and some would argue that it’s more likely to be a placebo than anything else. But still – it seems to work for quite a few people, and there is certainly evidence to suggest that it’s truly using acupressure to make a difference?!?

Having seen the number of negative reviews on Amazon however, it seems a 50/50 chance that it may actually work for you.

On the other hand, our official conclusion is that it’s worth a try – especially since you can always return it if it doesn’t end up performing as well as had been hoped, so you be the judge and if you do try it, we’d love to hear from you, so please leave a feedback.
