The 5 Best Snoring Articles on the Internet
If you’re looking for information about snoring, then the internet definitely has it in spades. The only problem is that not all websites are equal. There is, unfortunately, a lot of content out there that either isn’t factual, or that doesn’t have much to say about anything that will answer any of your questions regarding this issue. How can you find the best snoring articles among all of them out there?
In my time researching snoring-related topics, I’ve definitely come across some articles and websites that I’d label as ‘above average’, and these are what I’m going to share with you in this blog post.
So without further delay, here they are – the 5 best snoring articles on the internet (in my humble, honest opinion).
The Mayo Clinic article on snoring
This article is full of easy-to-understand information about causes, risk factors, symptoms, and more. I like this article because Mayo Clinic is known for publishing trustworthy content – so you know that you can trust what they say. I also like it because they make the information so easy to understand. Some websites make snoring sound very clinical and complicated – which can be difficult to follow for someone without extensive medical knowledge (like me!).
The Webmd.com article on snoring
Find it here: http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide/snoring
I’ve always been a huge fan of Webmd.com, mostly because they make things easy to understand and can be trusted to publish accurate information. They’re definitely one of the sources that I trust the most, and their article on snoring is especially informative. For a general overview on all things related to snoring, this is probably the best resource on the web.
The Gov.uk article on snoring
Nhs.uk is a fantastic website for health-related information if you’re looking for UK statistics and facts. Here, you’ll find an overview of what snoring is, as well as information about symptoms, causes, diagnosis, and treatment. If you’re from the UK or are looking for information that’s based on UK science, medical statistics, or information, then this would probably be my first-choice recommendation.
The NIH article on Sleep Apnea
The NIH (National Institute of Health) website hosts a very thorough and informational article on the subject of Sleep Apnea. While snoring and sleep apnea are not always one and the same, it’s good to be aware of the risks of obstructive sleep apnea – and this article provides a wealth of information on the topic.
If you want a basic, working understand of what sleep apnea is, what causes it, and what can be done about it, then this website is probably an awesome first-choice.
The National Sleep Foundation article about sleeping myths
This article provides the reader with a lot of facts about snoring and sleep, and helps to dispel some very common myths in an easy-to-understand format. I like this article because it deals with snoring and other factors that have to do with it. It talks about sleep debt, daytime drowsiness, insomnia, how sleep affects the brain, and more.
If you’re looking for an in-depth article that will educate you and help you to learn more about sleep, snoring, and how they affect our health, then this article would be an awesome resource to check out.
Snoring might seem like a simple issue, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes it’s complicated, and it can definitely contribute to a number of complex health issues if it’s not dealt with.
