Introduction – SnoreDoc Stop Snoring Mouthpiece Review

The SnoreDoc Mouthpiece is a stop snoring device that has been on the market for quite a while now. In fact, finding some customer reviews and additional information about it was a breeze – which is usually a good sign.

According to the company’s website, their product has helped over one million customers, so it’s not surprising that I didn’t have any trouble finding information about it.

The website looked good, and I found all kinds of valuable details on it regarding the product. But is the SnoreDoc really a high-quality device that offers real value for the money?

This is, of course, the big question – so let’s take a closer look at what we found when writing SnoreDoc review.

Product Details

According to the official company website, the SnoreDoc is ‘The Best Anti Snoring Device’. It’s said to be comfortable, versatile enough to fit any mouth, affordable, and features a high quality, soft rubber texture that will help it to last for years. Like many stop snoring devices on the market today (especially in this price bracket), the SnoreDoc utilizes boil and bite technology to make custom-fitting the device easy – which is definitely a positive feature.

Type

This device is technically an MAD, or a ‘Mandibular Advancement Device’.

Clinical Studies

On the official product website, it states that this device is clinically proven – though I haven’t seen links to any studies supporting this claim. Perhaps the company means that MADs are clinically proven as a stop-snoring method – though if this is what they mean, then the phrasing seems to be a bit off.

Is this product FDA cleared?

Unfortunately, the FAQ link on the official SnoreDoc website seemed to be broken. Even trying to get to it through Google search was futile. Therefore, specific questions like this required a bit more research – but I did find an answer to this question. According to another reviewer, the SnoreDoc is indeed FDA cleared.

Price

This product costs $39.99 to order, which is, in my opinion, very reasonable and inexpensive. There might be a few devices that are cheaper – but overall, this price is pretty tough to beat.

According to Trademarkia.com (http://www.trademarkia.com/snoredoc-85181511.html), SnoreDoc is trademarked by a company called Pearl Enterprises LLC. This company is located in Lakewood, NJ.

I was, however, unable to find much information about the company on the official SnoreDoc website – and that bothered me a little bit. It even went to the point where the terms and conditions said that they were going to list the address, but then provided only a blank spot.

I was really struck by how difficult it was to learn anything about the company through the website – and that definitely didn’t do much to impress me.

According to trademarkia.com, the business address for this company is as follows…

PEARL ENTERPRISES LLC

173 N CREST PL

LAKEWOOD, NJ 08701-2990

I didn’t really find any ‘scam’ complaints regarding this product. Everyone who ordered it received it, and it sounded like the SnoreDoc is, in fact, a legitimate product. Having said that, however, I was struck with how many reviews I found for it online – and some of them were definitely negative.

The most common complaints seemed to be that it was uncomfortable and that it simply didn’t work. It should also be noted, however, that these reviews were far less common than the positive ones. I was honestly pretty impressed by how many people seemed to like it.

How does the product work?

This product basically works by pulling the lower jaw gently forward during sleep. This is said to increase the amount of room available in the airway, and reduce the odds that snoring will occur. Since snoring is almost always caused by loose tissue in the throat that ‘vibrates’ as air moves through, this device seeks to fix the problem by creating more room and reducing the risk for the ‘tissue vibrations’ that cause the problem.

What are actual customers saying?

Actual customers seem to have a wide range of opinions on this product – though most of them seem to like it. Now, having said that, I will say that many of the reviews that I read were on Amazon – and as I was reading them, some of them struck me as being very, very generic and shallow. There is a possibility that some of them were fake – but I almost hate to even say that because that would imply some sort of unethical behavior on someone’s behalf.

Still, I couldn’t find it within myself to altogether abandon that suspicion. Just be aware that some of the positive reviews circulating out there may not be completely factual – and that there is at least a small bit of a chance that this product might not be quite as good as it seems to be.

What you can expect

As with basically all MADs, you can expect some discomfort on the first and second nights of use. This device is said to be rather bulky and large, so you may experience some drooling and even some mild jaw discomfort.

After 5 to 7 days, you should start to feel a lot better about the SnoreDoc if it’s going to work for you. If by day 7 you haven’t experienced at least one good night’s sleep with it, then you might want to make use of the 30 day money back guarantee and buy something else.

Does this brand stack up against the competition?

The SnoreDoc doesn’t necessarily offer a ton of ‘unique features’ that other brands don’t offer. In most respects, it’s a pretty normal device that does what most other MADs do.

Having said that, however, it could also be said that the lower price is an advantage that not all other devices can boast about – so this is perhaps what distinguishes it the most from some of its competitors.

Key differences between this product and ‘typical’ solutions

The biggest difference between this product and other common or typical solutions is the fact that it’s a bit less expensive than some of them.

Is a prescription or doctor involvement needed?

No. You will not need a prescription or a doctor’s involvement to buy or use the SnoreDoc.

Pros and Cons

Here are the basic pros and cons that I discovered about the SnoreDoc Mouthpiece over the course of my research.

Pros

  • It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee
  • It utilizes boil and bite technology for a custom fit
  • It has managed to garner quite a few positive reviews for itself
  • It’s affordably priced
  • It’s comfortable to wear because the material is gentle on the gums

Cons

  • Some people say that it’s too large and bulky
  • The website doesn’t share a lot of information about the company – which I found inconvenient
  • The FAQ section and a few other links on the website seemed to be broken—which really limited my ability to learn about the product on-site

Conclusion

I’ve definitely come across less-impressive devices before, and this product does have an affordable price tag. I am afraid, however, that you might be getting what you pay for. If your mouth is shaped a certain way, then this device might help you. But I’m afraid that, when the SnoreDoc is compared to other comparable devices, it doesn’t quite measure up in every category. It might be worth a try for the super-low cost – but be prepared for the fact that it might not be perfect.

Costs and shipping

It costs $39.99 to order this product online. Shipping is free in the US. Otherwise, it varies by country. The best place to buy the SnoreDoc is on the official company website.
